Wow. Talent runs deep in the McMurtry clan. I Quit fiction 20 years ago but have seen a couple of his movies.
His son, James is in my top 5 singer song writers. I don't think he's real popular but I think he's beyond great.
I guess the old man could really turn a phrase? I sure know the son can.

Jesse Owens was only 66 when he passed. Pretty young for a high level athlete.

Yes absolutely too young. He was a great American in every sense of the word. I remember hearing and reading about him when I was a kid.

I still remember when he came to STL in 1999.
It may have been the biggest day ever for St. Louis. What an event. A Pope in our city!
He was a great Pope.
