Truth was, that partial beer was like licking the bottom of an ashtray after his turn... Which made me wonder about all the non-smoker women I've dated and how unpleasant that cigar taste must have been for them. And probably the cigarette taste too.
In high school I dated a girl that smoked. Kissing her tasted just like an ashtray smells. Yet somehow I didn't mind. Hormones trump smoker's breath at that age.;)

South Bend Chocolate factory occasionally has factory rejects in a large cardboard box. Their normal prices are around $19 a pound. The factory rejects are less than $3.00 a pound. They look funny, but taste great! I've eaten 3 of those boxes in the past 4 years, so over a hundred pounds. The boxes are usually 35-40 pounds. I've picked them up for as cheap as $20 and as much as $60 a box, but still, that's a great price. I split them up into quart zip lock bags and freeze them. Pull a bag out every week or two and om nom nom!!
I can't quit laughing!
Man I bet they're great!

Sometimes they are double or triples or no cherry at all. Then it's just a ball of chocolate. All very acceptable. Sometimes they are polished and sometimes not. Still taste the same!

I'm just learning about them. My Doctor said they were "panic attacks" but did order an EKG and stress test, which thankfully I passed.
Last Saturday night lying in bed feeling like crap and wondering if I called an ambulance, who I could call to take my dog at 10:00 at night. Then I realized my heart was missing about every 6th beat, so started reading up on it. Now that I know what's going on I've cut back on coffee, and am getting better about my salt intake. They also finally responded to my (3rd) request for records, so that I can finally change doctors.

You guys are scaring me though, with talk about no fruit or bread.
I had panic attacks and flutters, and the EKG (wore a harness for two weeks) & stress test said "you're fine". That by itself helped reduce my overall stress (hey I'm not obviously dying! (at least not rapidly)) and taking a work break helped a bunch more and NOW IT'S ALL FINE TILL I WRECKED MY SUBSOILER oh wait

I have had minor heart palpitations all my life; and about 30 years ago, I was listening to my radio on the way to work, and some doctor was taking questions from listeners. To make a long story short, he said that before taking meds, you should try using sea salt (Iodized) instead of regular salt. I did, and didn't have another palpitation for 20 or so years.

What was the rational behind it?

Also had the panic attack diagnosis. When I asked how they knew that I was told cause thats what it sounds like.
Turns out my blood pressure was dropping rapidly at times.
Saw two cardiologist, took all the test, wore a monitor for a month. Even had an episode while in the office. Was told they could find nothing wrong. Who knows maybe its all in my head.

I've always said that kissing someone who smokes is like kissing an ash tray. Luckily, my wife doesn't smoke, and she doesn't allow me to kiss other women on the mouth. So, I haven't had that experience in about 37 years.

They are called PVC’S. Premature ventricular contraction. Mine were bad about 15 years ago. The heart beats a little early, and this beat is often much stronger, then it goes back to a regular rhythm. It feels like it misses a beat because one comes early. I was getting about 500 of them a day but didn’t feel a lot of them. I totally quit caffeine for several years and started taking a beta blocker which helped. The PVC’S supposedly are benign but they can bother you. Of course I’m sure some people may have something else. Mine haven’t gone away but are much better.
