How big is that pin?

I lost one very quickly when the tractor was new, dropped in a 1/2" bolt . Fumbling around trying to put the hair pin back in the remaining factory pin led me to replace it also. Those 2 bolts are about 8 years old now, go figure.

Those of you that use a bolt and lock nut for this, how long does it take you to change implements?? What a pain to remove & replace.

I feel the factory pin with the cotter pin in it is a pain getting the cotter pin in & out and holding onto it. I hope those spring clips I found on Amazon work, super quick & easy to remove & replace without dropping any small pins in the high grass!

My pins for the stabilizers have a keeper chain. Held in place by gravity. Never have had one come out....yet.

Same on my tractor. I was always losing the R style cotter pins though. I now just don't use cotter pins anymore. The gravity keeps the pins in place.

No nut! Just adjust the position and drop it in. One bolt is 3" and the other 2 1/2" and like I said, they stay in there where the factory pins are almost top heavy and assured to fall off without the little PIA hairpin that the heavy brush I mow will remove promptly.

Wow, I must abuse my tractors. My little Kioti has keeper chains and drop-in stabilizer pins and I've lost the entire stabilizer, chain, pin, & all on that. Twice! I bushhog blind through 8' high brush & saplings where I need a kevlar shirt to keep from being shreaded by multi-flora rose and blackberries.

One day I took a break and upon inspection it looked like half of my 3 point hitch was missing. I had a short sleeve shirt on and looked like I'd been attacked by a dozen rabid house cats. Had to quit & rebuild. Pins, cotter keys, & parts scattered all over only half of which I found. After ordering my replacement parts online & rebuilding I started taking duct tape and wrapping any spot on the 3 point hitch that has a pin. Works great!

I too work on tall brush and so far have only lost the cotter pins for the stabilizer pins.

Haven't had the pins actually come off the stabilizers once.

The round ring flip type are called "lynch pins" and come in several sizes. Always take an example pin to get the right size.
