Looks like the Jackson was shuttling coal across the St Louis harbor.

I great video made by the corps on how ice breaking operations go on the upper lakes. Really good photos in this video, many I'd not seen before. Yes its long at over an hour long. In it they made an interesting comment that 3% of the US's GNP passed thought the lakes and 50% of the stats and provinces that touch the lakes does. This is 90 million tons of products.

My sister retires from the IT department at the Tillotson Mine in Marquette. Took me on a tour when I was up there a while back. I have a bag of those pellets in my dresser drawer.
I forget if they are Taconite or something else.
