If mechanical (has capillary tube) the sensor mount must be compatible. The sensing "bulb" will have to immersed in coolant. So correct threads, room for sensor.
If electrical, it will have to be same voltage as your machine (12volts) and sensor must be a match (threads) where it will install.

As long as sensor and gauge are "matched" and gauge is correct voltage, yes you can....

I'll add that threads for the new sensor match as well.
Seems that there is SAE pipe thread and metric pipe thread.
