Good morning, low temp 38 and high 54°F. Wind calm. 60% chance of showers.

Eric, I will 'see' your 10°C and raise you 2C to 54°F.

I'm not likely to get any grass cutting done today either. I will check later, like about noon and see how dry it isn't. Rained last night.

Too all the Mothers out there, Happy Mothers Day.

Have a safe day all

Roy, I bought all my EGO stuff from Ed's Lawn Equipment (Home Ed's Lawn Equipment Addison, TX (972) 386-3999) and so far have not had to buy a battery elsewhere, but I was recently surprised to find Lowe's huge stock of EGO equipment but no batteries. You can order batteries from them with no shipping charges, but none in stock on the shelves.

Good Morning!!!! 67F @ 4:30AM. Sunny. High 88F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph.
The Red Flag Warning remains in effect, expiring tomorrow night at six o'clock. Several grass fires broke out nearby yesterday. No lightning in sight; just people being careless.

After a good bit of raking away on the grass clippings, I did find the hose bib at the top of the hill yesterday. But my guess as to which line ran to it when I reconfigured the sprinkler system last year was wrong, and unless I want to dig up the front yard again, that line will remain dry. But the raking will be a good way to mark out where the pad will go, and I can put the sprayer back on the side-by-side and have 15 gallons of water to spray on anything that might start up there. There's a good sized pile of manzanita that needs bucked up while the grapple is still on the tractor, so I'll get after that today. With a little luck the weatherman's forecast will remain true and the wind will drop enough by Tuesday I can burn the big pile of slashings that have been accumulating, instead of having to look at them all summer.

Spotted a baggie of fresh made pizza dough at the grocery store last week, so picked that up along with a jar of pizza sauce, so put together a sort of home made pizza yesterday afternoon. Used no-calorie Pam to keep it from sticking to the pan, and let the pizza steel soak for an hour at 500F in the barbecue. After ten minutes the pizza was done. Not the best crust in the world, but not bad, either. And with just the sauce, mushrooms, black olives, and some herbs and spices, not bad for me, either.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!

As long as you buy from an authorized dealer, you'll get the warranty card. I didn't get any documentation with the ones I bought off Amazon.
After a couple really negative reviews I wrote, one seller sent me the warranty card (after offering a 1 year warranty...EGO offers a 3 year warranty for residential users), the other refunded me the money (about $255) and told me to keep the battery, IF I removed my reviews (which I did).
I bought my first EGO product, a string trimmer, in 2016. I've had 2 batteries fail...both bought in 2016-2017. For the price of the batteries, they should go a lot longer then 3-4 years.
I surely do like EGO tools though...

Hope everyone has a good Mother's Day. Our two daughters plan to bring a lasagna dinner here after church today. Yep, lasagna is Margaret's favorite. She'd rather have that than steak, lobster, or anything else.

Mo was the brewery AB ?

Yes sir.

Best place I ever worked. I was there 30 years but left after InBev acquired the brewery.

When they had the free beer at 4pm I was actually working for an audit firm and we were there doing audits.

So, including auditing, I worked there almost 35 years.

My kind of pizza. Is this your contribution to NO MEAT MAY? (y)
Oh, The zero calorie pam is not quite accurate.
"However, this “0 calorie” label is far from accurate— who really sprays cooking oil for only a fourth of a second? Is that even humanly possible?
The idea behind the zero-calorie claim is that, were you to only spray for a fourth of a second, the amount of oil released would amount to under five total calories — a negligible amount for inclusion on nutrition facts. The oil itself, though, is far from calorie-free."

We cook our pizza on a no stick silicone pad.

This article reminded me of my brother - This year I have lived 10 years longer than he did. I Have been plant based 10 years.
