Good Morning.
It’s 43 going to 58 with fair skies today.

Spent most of yesterday organizing and reviewing paperwork. Like crocus’ in the spring, a sign of COVID recovery is that the FAA is coming out of the office and doing on site records checks. For the last year it was done by email and zoom.
Did get some speaker work done, looks like another order is in the wings.

I’ve had hired help cleaning up the beds around the house, I’m likely going to take the dump trailer and pick up a load of mulch today. The mulch yard is only a mile away, I might just tow the trailer with the tractor, so I can move it around the yard.

Looks like a pretty dry week ahead, should get a lot done outside.

Good Morning!!!! 71F @ 5:00AM. Sunny. High near 95F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.
The 10-day is full of high 80s and mid 90s, with no sign of rain. Spring, where'd you go?

Flipped a bunch of auto-pay accounts over to a different charge card yesterday. The easy ones took just a couple clicks or a quick phone call, many were well hidden. One even required printing out a form, filling it in and signing it, then emailing it back. Took most of the day, but glad it's done.

Started the day cancelling the old alarm service. Took four phone calls and most of an hour spent on hold. I'm not going to miss that company, at all.

Bent the hinge pins on the gate yesterday, so might run into town today for new ones. Don't think I'll be able to get the old ones straight enough with a big crescent wrench and a hammer.

Hopefully it's the last day of the Red Flag Warnings. It's been blowing all night making it hard to sleep. Three wildfires within 25 miles of here yesterday, and it's not even June.

Morning. We are back from Little Rock Mother’s Day visit.

Little Rock is a nice town. Big enough to have things to do - but small enough to get around pretty easy.

Nice visit with wife’s family - Father, sister and nephews family.

Today is sunny but cool - high will be 58 degrees. Sun makes a big difference.

My day will be going to farm to mow and see what needs to be cleaned up since last time. Hopefully a non- stress day. I sometimes really enjoy a day at the farm mowing and piddling around.

Be safe.

Good morning! 60˚F heading to the mis 70s cloudy 90% chance of rain today.

Only won 3 of 5 hand and foot card games last night so I did not advance in the rankings and might have dropped from my #5 ranking.
Sadamo, since we are first ranked by wins and second by points there are only 4 reasons to close a meld. 1. to get to your foot, 2. to get the minimum number of melds (2 clean, 2 dirty) 3. If you can close a meld and open the same meld, 4. to go out and win. If anyone closes before that it kind of lets me know what level my partner is and I try to adjust.

I opted out of FireWise today, they are working in a large ditch which is too tough on my knees. Park Cedarcide has also been canceled this week because of hiking club meetings.

This will be a good week to repair my Moms well pluming that froze and broke. She only uses the well water for yard irrigation so it's not urgent.

Good morning, low 36, high 50°F. Wind NNW 10 mph. Rain.
Good news is the barometer is rising!

Another energy conservation day, today.

I must fess up, after I got the quote from Beards Farm Equipment 150 miles from me I shopped up here and found two other Kioti dealers but both wanted an arm and a leg AND my first born for them.
I bought from Beards. I wanted new, I wanted a cab because I was getting older and the open station Farmall C was getting old.
Over the years I have had three warrantee items; First the mid mount power takeoff wouldn't come out of gear.
Second was the heat blend valve was leaking, they replaced the valve and the next winter it started leaking again (plastic valve). Both of those items they came to me.
After it got paid for in total, I called them up and got a new backhoe, they came and got the tractor and installed the BH.
I got them to make up two bills, one for the haulage and a full service and the other one for the BH that was financed over 5 years. Paid that off early. IF I ever want to get another tractor (Highly unlikely at 74 years young) I will be talking to Beards.

Nice Downy pic Ron.

Have a safe day all

Mornin all, Sunny and chilly again.
Transplanted some trees and used the new M8 Weed Wacker. Got 1 hour from the 8AH and 30 min from the 5AH.
So not even close to finished. Didn't bog down too much in up to 12" high grass.
The head only gives me about 3" of line on either side, need to figure out how to increase that to full out. Have the cutting blade reversed to allow the line to be longer already. Not an FS110, but a huge upgrade from older battery WW.

Mostly-are those going to be used for food or fertilizer?

Kubota dealer was nice to me (also the Stihl dealer who I bought from), but their prices were too high. Deere was even more.

Today might even be dry enough for me to take the tractor out and clear some areas in the back.

Stay safe and be well.

Saw three fox, 2 raccoon and a pileated woodpecker (middle right) on the ground in the last week on the game cam.
So the woodpecker is the culprit ripping up my older stumps. very happy it's helping me
Also the usual deer and the lone Turkey.

41°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 63° today. Chilly in the mornings, but really nice afternoons this week.

Fence contractor got most of the pasture fence installed yesterday. He's coming back this morning to finish one section in the back and install the four gates; two twelve footers at the barn and back, and two four footers at the barn and west side.

Will be nice to have this done. It's been holding up three other projects; the new dog training area, the new shooting range, and the new chicken coop.

Our alarm company is supposed to be coming out this week to upgrade our equipment, for free I'm told.
