Deere/Yanmar 650 - Trying to Raise From the Grave

Is the pump timing established mechanically with shims? It is on the 950 but I don’t know about yours. When reinstalling the old pump you can usually get away with using the old shims but if installing a mew pump I would time according to the manual.

It is. I bought 2 new shims. Hopefully will be able to get this running in the next week or 2.

The shim kit usually includes shims of different thickness. Basically (as I remember) you want the number one port to start flowing at the start of injection mark on the crank. Probably better review the procedure for your machine. Also needed a test line to attach to that injection port.
