2012 Mahindra 8560 Cab
Spent a few hours out spraying poison with 3 Pt sprayer and stopped for a break and refuel. Put 7 gallons fresh off road in and tried to crank after about 30 minutes. Tractor turns over fine but would not start. Had turned tractor on and off several times that day with no issues. Just replaced fuel filters about 8 hours ago. Bled filters for several minutes and could hear air coming from around cap so I suspect it’s venting properly. I cracked line coming out of injector pump and turned tractor over and had fuel spurt out so I suspect it’s getting fuel to cylinder unless injector issue. Suspect it’s not a safety switch as that usually will not allow for tractor to turn over. No warning lights on either.
Any ideas on where to go from here would be greatly appreciated. The only thing I didn’t check was air filter. Didn’t suspect it since it had cranked several times the same day with no issues and I had not been bush hogging or in dirty/dusty situation.

Thanks!!

You cracked one line? You should crack all four of the lines at each injector--One at a time.

Whelp air filter was a wreck so I figured that would solve the problem but nope. By the time I got to the third injector she started to fire. Tightened it up and it cranked right up! Air in the lines I guess from getting low on fuel...filled at quarter tank though so I dunno how that happened. Gauge could be bad too. Anyhow thanks for the help!!

Thanks for reporting back. Yeah, these tractors have trouble running on just air. Been there a few times with my old Ford. It didn't have a working gauge. The stick method of checking fuel is a poor substitute. :giggle:
