Yes! Exactly! Why not? Just tie it off good to that stand and you have a taller ladder with a wider base than the ladder itself!Hey, thanks for the idea. I could replace the 6 foot step ladder with my 24 foot extension ladder when I need to go higher:

That's why I don't use my loader for a work platform anymore. It has never happened to me yet and I don't care to have the first time.I've done similar in the past. Just climb up over the FEL and up the ladder. Not anymore since the hose popped out of the hose end on my FEL. It dropped like it was bungee corded to the ground.
Just happened big time in floridaThis kind of brings up an interesting point. Now you have to use a multitude of fasteners and bracing to hold your house up apparently. When is the last time anyone has seen a house just fall over?
I was speaking of single family residences. Do you think the earthquake resistant construction requirements in California should be the standard in Idaho?Just happened big time in florida
But actually i was in LA during several earthquakes.....and saw lots of houses and apartments pancake and fall over.
What is the hangup with doing that? How many times has anyone seen a loader fail and fall??? Statistically it is as safe or safer than being on a ladder on uneven ground.
I can see if one does not trust his own abilities, but otherwise not a problem. Someone here on TBN has a thread talking about americans getting soft. I'll bet that guy would do this!!
