Biggest lightning storms i've seen have been in the mid-west. Holy Cow! If you of you told me it was too dangerous, you probably would have had to come indoors to tell me, as i'd already have run back inside.

Storms can grow huge in the Great Plains! Absolutely nothing to deter growth.
