What would cause the hydraulics to almost completely quit working? The tractor starts fine, but FEL and BH don't want to work. HST mostly works. If I fiddle with starting and stopping the PTO's a while, the hydraulics in the FEL wake up a bit but very noisy, weak and slow. Depressing the clutch helps. Hydraulic level is full. Could it be a plugged filter?

Yes and a plugged screen in the supply line.
Thank you. Can you tell me where the screen is located/what it looks like?
Also, could non-NH approved fluid cause my problem? I had changed the fluid not too long before this issue started. The fluid was approved for just about every tractor except NH, but the dealer told me other guys use it in their NH tractors and he heard no complaints.

No I don't know where the screen might be. Some tractor don't have one, but most do.

If you just changed fluid you can have air in lines Etc. or worse water got mix up and went through pump wich will kill it . Sometime the dial under seat which controls the speed of rear lift arms on 3 point is turned to loose . when I had very noisy and weak hydros the pump fried from water in system . Iwas going through same problems and was told there was no screen on suction side . I can double check for you sat . Have to go to work now. Check messicks parts diagram online in mentime.

How would I purge air from the lines properly, because that is what it seems it could be. I did check Messicks for the screen previously and saw nothing in their diagram. Thought maybe I was missing something.
