I have a B2710 Kubota and I'm wondering if I can safely lift a 54" 750lb concrete pier high enough to set it in a footing ditch? I'm debating on whether I should just get sono tubes and pour footings or use precast footings which would be easier and quicker. I do have loader tires and a weight box for ballast.

Look like a maybe thing to me. The specs on Tractordata say about a 1000 lbs at the pin to full lift height. My guess is you could get it 3 feet off the ground fairly easily. Just thinking out loud can you take the bucket off and put forks on? It seems like if you put forks on, ran a chain across the base of the forks, that would get you lifting closer to the pins.

The previous owner had a HD hook welded to the top of the bucket to lift things but he passed away years ago so I can't consult with him.
But tilting the bucket back would get the hook inline or even before the pins.
I'm just not sure I should make the commitment on the piers if I can't set them myself.
I have a couple neighborhood boys that will dig the holes and mix cement but the piers would be much less messy and time consuming..

Should be fine. Can always pop the bucket off to gain extra lift capacity. A 54” bucket full of gravel is 700 lbs. which is the weight of your pier more or less.

Is that 700 lbs including the bucket, because I've been reading the bucket is around 150-200 lbs? The posts are 750 lbs so if you add the bucket I'm at 900-950lbs, just short of max lifting capacity. The posts are 54" high so I will be starting the lift from 5' but I only have to lift them off the ground 6" and drop them in a 4' hole.

How do you hook the chain if you remove the bucket? There’s nothing else there that’s durable enough.

Crushed stone weighs 105lbs per cubic foot dry. Your bucket loaded flat holds 6.7 cu ft that’s 705 lbs. you could attach to loader frame where curl cylinder attaches. Or rig up a cross beam that would span loader arms could even use wood 4x4 etc
I have a new Holland T1110 has similar specs on loader. I have picked up 700 lb boiler using hooks off the bucket with ease

Can you find something that is about 750 lbs to try it? Boulder, etc?

I've picked up some big boulders but I have no way of knowing how much they weigh?

I'm thinking I'm going to risk it and buy the piers if I can get the delivery driver to put them in my back yard where the deck is going, close to where they are going in the ground.
I only need 3 and I would feel safer if I don't have to move them too far, maybe 8-10'. I'm assuming they use a fork lift.
