It is such a nice vehicle!
In many ways, I like it better than my Mercedes E-350, though they are very different.
At 80, I just don't have a need for a Suburban any longer.
One son already has a nice Suburban, and the other is an F-150 guy, or I would give it to either of them.

We’re apparently in the minority with this opinion but a 2500 suburban is way better than a F-150. Most pickup owners may never understand how nice it is not having everything stolen or rained on in the bed of a truck.

There's advantages of both. I don't worry about theft so much here, and the tonneau cover on my Colorado does a good job of keeping things dry. Yet I will be taking that off as I miss my rear racks. with a rail the full length to tie off to.

If you leave a chainsaw or yeti cooler in the bed of a pickup without a cover long enough it’ll be gone. In some areas sooner than others.

My son has a topper on the F-150, and tows a 16' cargo work trailer, so everything is rain protected and locked up.
His cargo trailer has serious locks, but was broken into while parked over a holiday weekend, with thousands of dollars of power tools stolen.

40 years and I haven't lost one yet. The only things I've ever lost were my two good axes, but should have thrown those in the cab before leaving it for the week at a "park and ride." Then there was the Subway sandwich which was in the bed in the morning but gone when I came back for lunch... I still haven't figured out if that was a two legged, four legged, or winged snake which scoffed that.
If I was doing a lot of towing though, I'd take the 2500 over the 150 any day of the week.

I completely agree,..... but surprisingly, I think the F-150 is technically rated to tow 11,300 lbs.

Technically or up to is the key words. Most of them aren’t. A 2500 is still a better tow vehicle. A 2500 suburban is a pretty light 2500. Truthfully they’re like a 5/8 ton.
