Ok, my mistake here, sorry. I have the LS4100 series. I did check and the ELM327/Torque app (Android) does work. Quite a few pids working. I have the Ford and GM pids loaded.

Well, I spent the last 4 hours with the ELM and my Android phone. I tried Torque, ELM327OBD, Dash Command, and OBD2Boy programs. My phone connected to the ELM327 but none of the programs could communicate with the tractor. Even though the J1939 protocol is listed the torque program did not look for that protocol? I watched the program search thru each protocol except J1939? On other programs I was able to tell it specifically to search J1939 only since the auto search function didn't find it but each time it also couldn't connect. The ELM power light was on and other lights flashed as if the ELM was communicating with the tractor. Maybe I'm not doing something correct.

Then I plugged the ELM in my truck port. Easily connected with phone and all programs worked fine. Was able to add and remove various gauges etc. so determined the ELM was working.

Let me know if you have better luck when you get yours..

Well, I downloaded another program (Cummins fault advisor). It was able to communicate with the ELM327 and take a snapshot. It identified my engine as IHI_S ibaura (Shibaura) N843T, read coolant temp,oil pressure, various engine torque percentages, engine RPM @ 6 configuration points I assume to be idle RPM, max RPM, limp mode RPM, DPF mode RPM and 2 others, engine hours, and fault codes 0. Has ability to clear codes. The rest comes up as proprietary and does not read.
Not a lot of info really.

The ElM327 gave me a error code had to use my HD Truck scan tool to reset codes ...well it was worth a shot

Try the free cummins app. At least it will take a snapshot of your tractor thru the ELM as I posted above.
Better than nothing but not really too helpful. I didn't have any codes but the program gave the option to clear codes.

Good deal , the one I got didn't work with engine running , couldn't get torque to read at all.....

Same here as I posted in post 12. I just started searching and downloading free apps and the Cummins one (post 14) worked.

Trying to check codes on 2015ish 3037h. Got a ELM code reader. The J1939/obd2 cable I purchased looked correct but will not insert into the round port on tractor. The center pin on the cable has a key on it but tractor port does not? Anyone know what cable I need?
