I need your help with this, please. As some of you know I had water in my fuel. My fuel filters are finally in and I have a question or two. I am thinking I need to clean my fuel tanks and my tank and fuel lines on Big Red. The fuel when drained the first time had a yellow slime in it plus water. I drained the fuel from the tank and replaced it with new fuel, then drained at both filters again and it was clean diesel. I only filled up one fuel tank to get the fuel in the tractor. So my question is when I drain the new fuel out of the tractor in order to put new filters on do I need to clean my diesel tanks out good and clean out the tractor tank and lines going to fuel filters and with what? Thank you.

Ace, since the diesel fuel came out clean, my guess is you don't need to clean the tank. With a flashlight, and with the tank empty, have a look at the insides, and possibly make your decision then. However, you've had problems with this, and may feel you want to do everything possible, one time, and be through with it. If you'll google "how to clean a diesel fuel tank", you'll get several product offerings and also instructions on how to clean the tank, and lines.

Thank you so much. I am going to Google it now. That slimes yellow junk is what concerns me. I didn’t want to put filters on and go through this again. Here I go on my mechanic work. lol I think I am ready.
