Looking for a source of springs to make a hose holder/support to keep hoses from dragging and scrapping in different applications. EA makes or used to make a kit, but it was pretty pricey for what it was.

Look at NAPA or other trucker supply stores for holders that hold up the air lines extra behind the cab of the truck. Old CB antenna might work.

Go to a farm store and see what you can find.

I realize this will not work for you if you don't have a supply of the right wire and a lathe but when I need something like a spring, I go to my supply of galvanized telephone wire that my Dad salvaged back in the day when the local exchange was burying the cables to get around the constant storm damage. I use a wooden dowel slightly smaller than the diameter I need and with the lathe speed set at a slow turn, wind the wire around the dowel till I have what I need. I've never made one for the purpose you describe but I just might now because I could put that to good use around my machinery!
