Very nice. Pretty lake.I own 14 acres which is 5 acres of lawn, 2 acres of pond and 7 acres of woods and swamp. I mow 3 acres which is the land around the house, garage and barn plus I mow 2 more acres beyond the backyard. Takes me 2 hours a week. I like having long views of manicured lawn from every window. I'm in the processing clearing out some more woods so the view from the house to the pond 150 ft away is wide open and unobstructed except for a few large trees. This will add another acre to my mowing. The forest will reclaim unmowed land within 2 years.
Having a lawn buffer keeps the bears, bobcats and coyotes away from the house, my livestock and pets. Plus mowing is very relaxing, and as I mow I get to enjoy the view of my property and it reminds me why I moved out to the country in the first place.
Actually yes, but from the dock is an easier retrieval. The house is about 20 ft above high tide. Can you cast a line from the deck?
A chainsaw can fix that!Very nice. Pretty lake.
We have a river as the property border but I can’t get a view from the house - too many trees.
Back surgery stopped my long distance running. I use to do a lot of thinking about work and getting away from work while running.Mowing it sucks though, even with my fancy, new (to me) zero turn.
Even at my best, long distance running was 200 meters. Not a lot of thinking going on in those 23 seconds.Back surgery stopped my long distance running. I use to do a lot of thinking about work and getting away from work while running.
