Used MF 254

Hi all,

Considering a well used MF 254 w/MFWD and MF loader. 3500 hours on the meter, needs a few things....lights not operational, right rear rim rotted around stem due to calcium, and some other more minor items. No ROPS. Runs well, smokes a little. Price is attractive at $6500. And possible trade for a smaller Case IH I already own.
Anyone own one of these? I am looking for a backup to my 60 hp New Holland which needs to go in for service and with the current supply issues I'm concerned about how long I might be without a tractor waiting for parts.

Thoughts?

I had a 1985 MF254 before trading it for a little 1740m. With a skidding winch it was a heck of beast in the woods.

I traded it cause most of the logging I had to do on my lot was done and I started opening driveways in winter and theres no way I was going out snowblowing without a cab and reverse creeper gear.

I dont how many hours it had cause the meter didnt work but never had a problem with it. This series (254,274,294) were rebadged Landini's. Parts seems a pain to find but you probably won't need much. Sometimes I wish I kept it for the dirty works in the woods.
