We had a car show this Sat. at church. Good turnout. But a friend of mine brought his jeep that I was most impressed with.

The M1 carbine is a fake prop but the pedestal mount is a belt fed semi auto.

Did he restore it? How did he come to own it?

I came upon a meet that was dedicated to WWII vehicles one time. Cool stuff!

Shame about the corrosion around the water neck. The rest is so clean I would address that before it gets worse.

Other than the guns, fuel can and a few other small items it is the way he purchased it.
He is big into reenactments and said he always wanted one.

He has had trouble with the head leaking and has plans to replace it with a Willys head instead of the Ford head that it has now. He is a stickler for authenticity. Thats why he replaced the fuel can because it was the wrong year of manufacture.
That is dried stop leak instead of corrosion.

That is one of the best restorations I've seen in a long time. Someone paid attention to detail. Much better then the 55 Willies M38A that was painted Navy ship grey.
