Where do you think he get that "knowledge" from?I wasn't referring to mechanics. I was told years ago by a true Harley rider that it's crazy to patch a bike tire.
Have ridden with many "True Harley Riders". When they get a puncture in their tire they are very thankful for my plug kit and inflator. "We can be rolling in 30 minutes or you can wait 2 hours for the flatbed truck." I plug, they forget the FUD and enjoy the rest of the ride.
Saw several weeks later and asked if he get a new tire. "Saw no point, it is holding air."
I had the bad luck a few years ago to get a puncture in a tire with just over 200 miles. Plugged it from the outside. Rode it bald before replacing.
