My twisted sense of humor-what's yours?

I got hold of one of these decades ago, and it was a real hoot watching the shocked and puzzled expression of drivers when they started their engine with one of these pushed on to the end of their exhaust pipe.

Now the design's been brought into the 21st century, and they flog 'em off as supposedly making your car sound like it has a turbo.

Yeah, right!

I blame my Dad for having a dry, twisted sense of humor that few others appreciate.

I once told my wife that I could only laugh at her if she stopped laughing. In retrospect, that didn't go over well either.

So I just saw this headline and wondered, how will we tell the two companies apart.

I commend you for having a sense of humor.
Most people have lost theirs and cannot take a joke without melting like a snowflake

I grew up reading Charles Addams cartoons. In the New Yorker and in books. This type of dark humor has served me well. Much, if not most of Charles Addams humor was really aimed at adults. I think his sense of humor really helped me to understand adults when I was little.

Or maybe, I'm normal and everybody else is twisted, lol. Hopefully someone will not be offended by my twisted sense of humor or the Cancel Culture might cancel me.

My humor was also molded by a book I found in the library when I was in the 3rd grade. Until then, I read a book only because I was told to do so. It was a book of poems that circulated by word of mouth in the 1890's and 1900's ( I learned this just a few years ago). It was titled,
"Ruthless Rhymes for Heartless Homes". It was hard-core for a 3rd grader in a very conservative home.
I am guessing it has been cancelled by now but I have a hard copy.

I can remember a couple of them, not verbatum but you get the jest..

Little Willie threw his sister down the well.
Where she went he would not tell.
Momma went to draw some water, sure is hard to raise a daughter

Little Willie dressed in sashes, fell into the fire and burned to ashes.
Bye and bye, the room grew chilly but no one cared to poke up Willie.

Looks like the emphasis is on the...Heartless Homes!

Sounds like an interesting "book of the month" for a bunch of 9 year old boys!

I'll take the..."sister in the well"...compared to what they're teaching in 3rd grade now.
