Wow, that picture brings back old memories. Through the window outside it looks like a Chevy Vega and possibly a Chrysler Cordoba.

Hey buckeyefarmer, thanks for such a great thread and so much of your families history. I've only made it through the first six pages (it's past midnight and I need to get some sleep) but I'm looking forward to the rest of it.

Orange Vega for sure. And probably a Chrysler. I believe my oldest sisters car sitting back left. Her husband worked at a Chrysler dealership back then. She was first sibling to get married, while she was still in college.

Thanks, I need to go back and read, I’m sure I’m repeating myself at times. Although sometimes I run across better pictures of things I talked about. Will be at the farm this week.

In another thread I mentioned how Dad is known for some of the unusually shaped Christmas trees we had over the years. Most were cut on the farm, don’t recall ever having a bought tree.
If there was a blank space, dad would drill a hole and insert a branch to fill it.

One of my fondest memories is walking over to the barn in the dark to feed the cows, with snow on the ground, and seeing the tree lights shine thru the front picture window.

Here’s a picture of the farm covered in snow around 1947 or 1948, right before dad bought the farm.

That there is some good looking photo. I keep saying I need a drone!
HAPPY NEW YEAR hugs, Brandi

Happy New Years to you,

DJI mini mavic. Very easy to fly, not very expensive, and under the weight to have to register.

This pic was just from a low resolution feed during the flight, not the HD captured by the camera.

The clump of trees in the field is the old house foundation. Was a log house here built in 1800s.
