Trailer axle dust caps rubber plug - are they all the same size?

Just found that one of my 4 trailer little rubber axle dust caps rotted through - only 2 yrs old. These are on a 10K rated trailer with dexter style e-z lube axles. Seems everything on Amazon is rated for 2,000 - 3,000 rated axles link. I don't have anything as handy local.
So I called up e-trailer. I thought higher rated axles might have a larger diameter. After the salesperson gave me a long unwanted discussion of how there are several places to take the measurement I told him fine, sell me 5 of the 1 1/4 and 5 of the next size up.
THEN he tells me they only sell the 1 size.
Why couldn't he cut to the chase and tell me that to begin with?
Are all the rubber plugs for dexter style axles the same size?

Go to Northern Tool and look,take a tape measure and measure the hub, go inside and pick out the one closest to what you measured. Take it outside put it on your hub to be sure it fits tight or you will sling it off somewhere. Ask me how I know this . Just did this about a month ago. Replace ALL of them at the same time or you will be going back ,ask me how I know this . Good luck on all your projects.

Well I bought an inexpensive 12 pack from Amazon linky , my main criteria was quick shipping.
advertised for "

• Fits Most 2,000-3,500 Pound Axles"

Fits my dust cap holes just fine, replaced them all.

they are not all the same size. I can guarantee it! I lost one of mine and have bout four different sized ones that I was told would fit (all slightly different sizes) and none fit.
So there are at least 5 sizes for a one ton rated axle.

I'll admit I had to force the ones I got into the cap but a "slightly" different size I would expect from cheap chinese knockoffs.
/edit - Dexter sells a 2 pack for $11.54. 4 caps w/ shipping would have cost me about $30, versus the 12 pack for $8.25 delivered.
