Harley-Davidson is interesting, can they get in to a new customer group with EV bikes? Wonder what the average age are on ICE buyers vs EV when it comes to Harley Davidson.
It could usher in a whole new generation of buyers

I think all MC companies need younger buyers, it's a pensioner gathering almost everytime I see a group of biker's.

When it comes to larger than 1/2 ton trucks, wouldn’t hybrids be a better answer?
Small engine recharges batteries? Comparable range to existing ICEVs?
Like if you took my Ram 5500, put motors on all 4 wheels, a battery pack and smaller, low emissions “recharging engine” under the hood together? That would dramatically lower tailpipe emissions, fuel consumption and no sacrifice in range or power?
Or would that not be feasible?

The real haul test is 40 rolls of R-21 fiberglass insulation. A 4-door pickup is not a practical vehicle. Who is going to spend $40,000 on an upsized Subaru Brat?
Ha! Exactly.

Reminds me - wasn't there a big long thread recently about how pickups have gotten too darn big? The R1T splits the difference between a midsize truck like the Tacoma and a full size Silverado. Should be perfect for all the folks yelling at clouds about how 'back in my day' trucks were so much smaller and thus better.

I too have wondered about a small super clean diesel running at constant/optimal RPM to be an EV range extender/ emergency "safe mode". It would basically be an EV with a piggyback generator. For trips of 2/3 or less of the range, it wold still be a pure EV. For extended travel or emergency use, it would utilize a 10-20 hp dino fuel engine as a supplement.

Although electric would be great in a Jeep, you have to wonder about the popularity of being stranded off road with a dead Jeep.
This may be where foss fuel still rules
I'm guessing 90% of jeep owners going "off road" biggest adventure has been going thru a mud puddle. EV would be fine for them.

Hahaha. The same can be said of Harleys. If there is an EV Harley it will have to have a noise generator because with that loud annoying sound it will not appeal to most Harley enthusiasts. The upside is it would only need a 75-100 mile range for most applications.
