I love it DieselBound. I love your area, been that way years ago - moved to the Shuswap from Abbotsford BC 20 yrs ago. For various reasons, I don't like Winter much, but what do you do ? Moving into a winter area was not my idea, but we love it here. cheers from the North

We do, thank you! It is peaceful most of the time. About 2 months ago I woke up at two am to what I thought was a helicopter or UFO landing outside my bedroom door. Went out and it was three drunk hillbillies on a gosh darn real life swamp air boat with a generator and several hundred thousand candle power lights bow shooting carp in the cove. Not sure who surprised who more, but, certainly something I will never forget........... Wife was out of town seeing family, if she were here and I was gone, I'd say 75% chance we would have moved by now.

Anywhere you go there are always parts of the year that aren't meant for postcards! We rang up over 20" of rain last month. Looks like we'll hit another 100" year. And I was looking to escape to somewhere where it rained about 21" per year: went from about 36" to 100" - went the wrong direction! Food, Shelter and Water. No problem addressing the Water part!
