41F and supposedly foggy (but I ain't seeing it) @ 13:30, heading up to a high of 55F. Some light rain in the area.
Bird feeders due to be refilled today, also trash and recycling day - so those will need to be taken up to the road.
Yesterday morning I trimmed back most of the frost-damaged and dead growth on the Woman's petunias:
It's showing some evidence of new growth, so when that gets a little bigger I'll trim it back even further.
These plants seem to be making a nice comeback as well, even the one at the left center of the image:
And finally the last White Feather hosta has finally poked up above the soil:
Will give them some more time to grow and get a little bigger before I re-pot them into individual pots.
Took a colander yesterday and used it to further screen the screened compost to make up some fine potting soil.
Then got 8 Zinnia, 25+ Coleus, 25+ Catnip, and 25+ Catmint seeds planted in 32 peat pots. Then bagged them all in gallon zip-lock bags to retain humidity until they germinate.
All the seeds (besides the Zinnias) were very tiny ... hardly any more than a speck of dust. Used a small plastic pipette to suck up a few at a time and place them into the pots.
The Squeak is wanting to know when that Catnip and Catmint will be ready:
Evidently the parsley just isn't doing it for her ...
Woman says she thinks she's over the hump at this point with whatever she had which is no doubt good news. Will have to see if I can persuade her to go get tested today.
Not sure what all is on her agenda for the rest of the day but I'm sure there will be something.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe Monday ...
