Right now we own 3 vehicles, a 2017 F150, a 2019 Chrysler 300c, and a 2010 Dodge Challenger. The highest mileage is the F150 with about 30,000 miles on it. I didn’t plan it this way but it worked out pretty good we bought what we did when we did.
I texted the sales manager again today and he says my truck is being built now and should ship on Jan. 10. That means I should be able to pick it up late this month.I got an email today from Mopar with my VIN. The email said that once a delivery date has been determined, they will send more info.
^ This.Don't get too excited on the delivery timeline. I've ordered a Ram before (and other vehicles) and the delivery can drag on much longer than you'd expect. Has to wait for a train to a major city's distribution hub in your region, then wait for a truck to bring it to the dealer. That can take weeks and weeks. Maybe it is different these days... the last one I did was in 2010.
Don't mean to be a downer, just setting realistic expectations.

How did you find the status? Was it from your dealer? Or from a web site?^ This.
My truck was listed as built 3 weeks after I placed my order. The status then changed to "In Transit"....and stayed that way for 9 more weeks until it finally arrived at the dealer.
The United States should get their heads out of the sand and manufacture chips here.
Yes, nationalize chip production!
….but first: healthcare.
Actually, skip that. There’s no examples where government run chip production is better than privatized industry.
Now, healthcare on the other hand…
Dealer gave me a link to a web site. That was a couple years ago, don't remember the link now.How did you find the status? Was it from your dealer? Or from a web site?
It's been that way for YEARS.Buying a new vehicle these days is hit or miss. Getting the one you want is next to impossible.
