The local Branson dealer (30 min away) is selling a new 3620H (36 hp) with rim guard delivered for $30,860.

The local LS dealer (40 min away) is selling their MT342H (42 hp) with rim guard delivered for $28,500.

I like the Branson, but the Dealer can be challenging while talking to. He rips LS at length, though I like my LS 25hp.

Is the Branson overpriced?

TIA

The Branson price seems to go ballpark with what I'm seeing on TractorHouse. Actually, the prices there are a bit higher. https://www.tractorhouse.com/listings/for-sale/branson/3620h/less-than-40-hp-tractors/1111

On the other hand, Keno Tractors lists the same tractor for close to $28k. https://www.kenotractors.com/product/branson-3620h-tractor-loader/

Both are great tractors. Personally, I prefer the simplicity of the Branson, all mechanical, very little electronics, plus the new 2021 20 series comes with the synchronized 4 Range transmission. But the LS are great tractors too. Not too long ago, I shared here on TBN an older LS R50 with 6800 hours, however it has the Mitsubishi mechanically injected engine and no emissons.

I have had my LS for over 150 hours so far and it handled every thing I put it though. I am super happy with it.

If one dealer puts down other tractors I would stay away from him. I spent months at many dealers before I pick the LS. A dealer should tell you how good theirs is not bad mouthing other tractors so it make me think his is not so good if he is running his mouth like that.

Sorry but that is my 2 cents.

Yooper,

Is that Branson a cabbed tractor? I guess to me it does sound high at $30K, but I don't know how bad the pricing and market is today. I know attachments have gone up a bunch, because I'm still shopping for those. But I'm not shopping tractors, so I don't know how bad the prices are right now.

I wouldn't turn away from the LS tractor either. Do you need the extra hp of the LS for pto driven tools?

If the Branson guy is already hard to deal with while trying to sell you a tractor (he should be at his "best" behavior right now), I can't imagine he's going to be better at servicing your tractor later.

Most important is to test and evaluate each tractor on it's own merits. Crawl around on them and operate both as much as you can. One will jump out at you as "better" for your needs.

as a branson dealer don't buy form any dealership that bad mouths any other, from my experience any dealer willing to bad mouth another only cares about one thing... your money usually once they get that your pushed to the way side. different brands offer different features and competition isn't bad but willfully badmouthing another dealership to make a sale is someone i would recommend staying away from even a dealership that sell the same brand we do, if your an honest salesperson your brands can speak for themselves if you have to bad mouth other brands to make your dealership or brand look good your not doing something right.
just my two cents

I was just trying to figure out why it was so much money. I thought maybe a cab could explain some of it. My cabbed 3725 cost just under $27K, but that was 5 years ago. Hard to believe they've gone up so much in price.
