Baraga/ Marquette county down old logging roads and two tracks. There's miles of seasonal unplowed roads up there also. If there posted no trespassing or gated we don't. I've trail rode a lot up by the keewanaw and there's a lot more private/posted land imo.

Logging company owned property is privet and it is not legal to go on their roads or on them in general. Posted or not.

And here it comes, Look we tread lightly, Don't litter, chase wildlife, and for me it's how my family and I enjoy nature and the outdoors responsibly. Personally Imho when the trails are being ridden on by 100+ hp machines with a bar every few miles how I ride is the safest way to do it. I think it's admirable what you do on xc ski trails and would never ride down one or intentionally go where the owner doesn't want me to! I can go on but won't.

I appreciate your candor about riding off trail. The fact that you don't, unless given expressed permission, is the message that the rest of our snowmobile riding friends need to understand. If the current rate of closing of trails continues, due to trespassing, our trail system will be done in 10 years, maybe less.

Could be practical for alot of things : #1 Store gas for snowmobiles on trail . #2 Store firewood #3 Good place to lye down when one comes home with liquor on the collar and lipstick on the breath @ 6am and gets "locked out of main house by the" Warden " . Guess #4 a place to get in an put larger " snow baskets " on one's frozen aluminum trekking poles . #5 Poor boy's snowmobile storage shed . Probably none of the five guesses so what is it used for ArlyA ?

I'm not against hunting, but I think its unbelievable that anyone would shoot an old blind deer. What the heck is wrong with people?

We warmed up a tad and snow shut down so I haven't pushed snow in our drive way for about 5 days now. Yes, we see a dusting now and then but not enough to worry about. That's OK with me and I've been getting some work done on that snow implement we use. (different thread) We'll post more when more are had.
