Google Maps was good about correcting my location per my address. Forgot the details but "edit your map" then "add an address" looks like it would work.
Yep, I did that and it took about a day to get a reply saying it was done. I don't know if google and IOS share this info but IOS map had it as soon as I thought to check.
Knowing where I am is apparently REALLY important to them.

When I was given my address, I put out a mail box next to my entrance. The lady who delivered the mail back then refused to use it. I had to speak to her supervisor, and he said that it was unsafe to deliver mail to that side of the road, and my mail box had to be on the other side of the road. After talking to him a little while, it became clear that she didn't want to have to make a U Turn to deliver my mail, and she felt it was easier for her if she could put it in the mailbox across the road. I lost that battle, and for ten years, I had to get my mail from across the road. Finally I got a new delivery lady and she asked why I had the mailbox across the road. I explained to her the story and she understood. She didn't have anything nice to say about the previous mail lady, but said that if I was willing, she would prefer to have my mailbox in front of my entrance. I moved it that day!!!!! It's crazy how much nicer that made getting the mail.

I would be cautious. The county assigned my street address - way back when. Now - look it up on any internet mapping system. The "arrow" is approximately 300 feet North of my actual driveway. Maybe that's why many call - saying they are lost.
We actually just had that issue with the new home we moved into. Gave the address out to a relative who was coming over.

The address took them to the middle of the retention pond on our street, which was a little over 1/10th of a mile from where they needed to be.

I submitted a correction based off my location pin to Google maps. They adjusted the rest of the addresses on the street accordingly.

Two weeks prior, our street wasn't even listed on any of the map apps.

They still have the retention pond listed as a cul-de-sac

Now that we in a totally different direction, I remember hearing that google was going to map universities, airports, and shopping malls etc. That was before Amazon and Walmart took over. I wonder if that ever got done or if individual entities did it themselves?

Now if someone could layout Lowes and Home Depot ONE time and make all the stores look alike. I use 3 different Lowes stores and have to recalibrate every time I walk into one. My phone app always takes me to a store 150 miles away (that I never use) and won't let update it so I can find stuff.

I know, I know, I am getting old and cranky.

On built in car navigation my house is about 2000 feet away in the middle of an intersection.
Tried to get that fixed but Uconnect just forwards me to their map source, who does not care and won't tell me if newer maps are correct.
I drive through my house regularly :)

On Google Maps it is at the start of the shared road, but that at least gets them a 50/50 chance to the right house.

My garage has a separate address for propane deliveries XXXX-10A for some reason, and they also use that address for the pool propane tanks, on the other side of my house. Even they don't know why the 10A exists.

Congrats on the new address and hope you get the well soon. Be patient and try to enjoy the new land and take pictures to remember in the future.

The 911 District assigns our street numbers. Mailboxes are on my side of the road. On my side my 2 neighbors are 8502 and 8802. I got 8690 based on where my driveway was planned. Problem is my mailbox is between 8537 and 8551, which are the 2 houses on the other side of the road right across from me. The 911 district said those were assigned prior to their system of numbering going into use. The 911 district does not notify the Post Office of a new address. When mail started showing up with our new address the Post Office sorters did not recognize it, so the Post Office put in a change of address to 8537. Took us a year to get some senders to send the mail to the correct address.

I had a free month trial of onstar when I bought my truck. Noticed the navigation icon on the dash so I clicked on it and punched in my home address. I was leaving work.

Onstar navigation was horrible. It was wanting me to take this round about convoluted route that would have added 30 minutes to my commute time.

After that quick sample of the genius of it, I told onstar that they could keep there service.

I have the android and apple auto apps on the display screen. So I just hook my phone to the USB cable and use my phone instead with Google maps. It pops it up on the display, and I can just tell it an address with the voice option.

Mr. Root Cause, we have much in common...

The excitement of getting an address assignment...and then making it official by putting it on one of the field stones we dug up.

Getting the well dug, septic, electricity, and even cable to make my wife happy!

Now if the architect would just get the house plans finished, we could start building and get out of this RV!

How is the RV this time of year? I'm afraid the pipes would have froze around here as we were about -5 about a week ago.
