I think the problem is partisanship rather than politics. For example, take the trucker protests in Canada about vaccine requirements to enter the US. There is a similar requirement for H-2A workers at the southern border, with added complications that Mexico administers all vaccines, and supply problems made them use the Sputnik vaccine rather than CDC approved jabs. Political? Yeah. Partisan? Nope. Both parties did it to us.
People get triggered and start arguing about stuff that should bring us together. Our tractor parts need to get across the borders. Our farm workers need to get across the borders. We end up with a six month lead time for parts, and expensive fruits and vegetables that are in short supply.
I sympathize with the moderators. Picking partisan fights on TBN will just wreck the discussions and accomplish nothing. If you are cranked about something, fire up the printer and send an actual paper letter to your senators and representative. That is surprisingly effective, since your letter can be assigned to the aid working on that issue. I know for a fact that everyone here is literate, and most are effective writers. The pen is mightier than the sword, and that pen is in your hands. Use it where it will do some good.
