Hi everyone. I have used this forum before with great success and I appreciate what everyone does on here. Recently, I had a problem with my snow blower attachment and this forum's members made the right diagnosis and the problem was repaired. The snopw blower attachment woreks with no problems until now.
Recently, while using the tractor and snow blower, the snowblower will stop working (tines not turning) and a yellow indicator light comes on with an Exclamation Mark in it. When the snowblower stops working, I disengage the blower, wait a few seconds and reengage it but it still does not work, but the yellow Exclamation Mark continues to flash throughout the time. I have gone through my manual to figure out what this is but I cannot.
If I let the tractor rest for an hour or so, I can climb back and use the tractor and snowblower, but the snowblower stops working after 10 minutes and the yellow warning light comes on. Today, I decided to see what happens if I keep using the tractor and use the snowblower attachment as a snow plow (light fluffy snow today so no problem pushing the snow). After about 10 minutes of pushing snow, a Red Warning light came on that "Stop", so I knew I needed to stop.
I am thinking there is an engine problem, not a snowblower attachment problem (the hydraulics all work and the snowblower goes up and down with no problem). I checked under the tractor and there are no leaks. When I start up the tractor, though, it is very smoky and I can see suit settling on the snow next to the right side (as I am sitting in the tractor) of the tractor.
Any advice as to the problem? Thanks in advance.
Greg
