I had a Maverick way back when. Very weak front end and a chronic ruster too. Used to call it an 'Ick'. Bought it used beat on it and scrapped it.
You just described most vehicles made in the mid-70s to early 80s. They only offered a 12,000 mile warranty back then... can you imagine doing that now?

But it was cheap compared to today, think I paid a grand for it and got 50 at the bone yard. Got my money's worth out of it though. 3 on the tree with an inline 6. Did a lot of drive in movies in it. Nice cushy bench seat in front.

My father had a '75 Power Wagon. He did a lot of research and thinking, before buying it to replace his '62 Willys pickup which he'd also bought new. It was just off the warranty when he lost the u-joints in the front end and had to rebuild it on his own dime. He generally bought a vehicle to keep, but he traded that for a '78 F150... the only 2WD truck that he ever owned for as long as I was around.

Keep thinking to myself, I bet he likes filling up that new Dodge diesel he just bought at 4 bucks plus a gallon.
I have an old Dodge Cummins and no filling anything with diesel isn’t fun anymore.

I’m not so sure it was cheap. I bought a half ton Ford in 1978 for $6k and that was a lot of money back then.

Understandable. Discussing anything with Hay Dude is like wrestling with a pig in mud. They like it and you don't. Why I keep him on ignore. Only poster on here I do.
I guess that’s why you reply to like 2/3rds of my posts? Lol

The power companies killed coal because they switched to less expensive fuel sources. Quit blaming everything on the government.
The post and link I put up showing this was forced upon many power company's by the government was removed

Well let’s see if we can break that down the stupidity of that a bit.
1. Its not a dodge it’s a Ram
2. it’s not new, it’s 2 years old
3. I have other personal vehicles to drive. A Jeep that gets 20mpg, for one. We also have a family car.
4. I use the Ram for real farming, not to look for a tax loophole like a hobby farmer like you would.

But please, keep “ignoring” me. :ROFLMAO:

He gets to add DEF too. You don't and neither do I.
At a whopping $8 a month, I’m not worried about my DEF expense. Lol
Fuel is what went up and is the topic.
DEF? Not so much
