Charities, good and bad from a disaster area.

Thanks again for starting this thread. I was curious after reading @SgtSluggo's post, as I knew that the blood group operates as its own structure, but I never had heard that it was a separate organization.

Buried on page 29 of the Red Cross annual report are charts that make it clear that the blood group is a separate division, but part of the overall organization.

Did you know it has a government mandate, and that the US president is an honorary chair? I didn't, until I was poking around tonight. So thanks for getting me to learn a few new things!
