Well then, since LS makes those for NH .... vvvvvv
I didn't want to say this publicly but since you are asking I will go ahead and put it out there. That dealer is beyond bad, he is a terrible person and a wolf in sheep's clothing. You couldn't pay me to do business with him and I will leave it at that.

Not sure if I'm reading this correctly -- are you saying that asking MSRP is price gouging?

I'd prefer to pay less than MSRP for sure, but I don't think I'd go so far as to say that's gouging. Regardless, helpful to know how to interpret the "call for price" ads.

If you want to see gouging, check out pickup truck dealers. All brands. Reports that I've seen all over the place of up to $15k over MSRP for new pickups. And people are either desperate or foolish enough to pay it.
Makes me glad that I got X Plan pricing on my new F 350.
I have bad news for Mr. Cahaba Valley, who thinks MSRP is price gouging. MSRP with no wiggle room is far more common at this point in time than I guess you are aware of. In fact it's probably more rule than exception. Like you, I don't necessarily agree with it and won't pay it. But that's just how it is today. And it's trickled into the used market also. I recently got $2500 more than what I paid new for a 2020 F 250 that I traded. Guess who pays for that in the end? The next person that buys it off the dealer's lot. And that truck never made it to the dealer's website when I traded. I'm sure they had someone waiting in the wings that scooped that truck up immediately.
Unfortunately, supply and demand is not favoring the consumer right now.

Ok, thank you for your honesty.
Im in the same boat as you. I am adding & replacing some pieces simply to get ahead of the double digit interest rates and recession coming our way.
If you think its bad now, wait until you see whats coming.
Im just hoping fuel stays cheap enough that we can drive what we own lol
When will we learn……

That's been my approach as well -- been buying things earlier than I need them, while I can find them and before prices get crazier.

The recession may have the effect of lowering the prices, but then you have 8-12% interest rates and probably less work load, because we would be in a recession.

What part of Alabama? I am in the west central and my dealer has been great. I know a little about one of the dealers North and most of it has been good. Know nothing about the 2 dealers in south Alabama. I watch Columbiana, LS dealer, and they have just moved to larger location and is reporting selling 2 to 3 tractors a week. I know they have added several service bays. But I have never had to have them do any service. I just don't break down. I have purchased filters. The central Alabama area may be too far to drive for you.

So I've heard. It really blows my mind to be honest. I asked my 80 year old father last night if he ever remembered paying MSRP for anything and he said no. What's happening right now is unprecedented. There was a group of guys on another chat site last night that thought I was nuts and living under some kind of rock because I am warning against what's going on right now. The thing about it is there are deals to be had out there if you're willing to broaden your horizons as Hey Dude put it and shop around. I found a few here recently. But I am unfortunately finding out what you're saying is true.

Not sure as I have never asked them but it is a sizable amount. I have 150 acres if that tells you anything.
What do you do with your acreage? What is on your land? Is there enough income from the land to pay the property taxes?
