Hydro oil got expensive while I wasn't looking
Amway the fill port on the kioti is bid enough but not easy to pour into.

Any tricks you got?

I'm thinking of turning a threaded poly insert to screw in that'll accept a length of tubing and a funnel.

I pour the fluid into one of those pour cans with a spout first, then use whatever funnel I have that fits best into the fill hole. Then pour a little bit, check the level, pour some more, repeat.....

I use a hand pump that drops the pickup end right through the top of the 5 gallon bucket, and hand pump it right into the spout. The outlet spout on the hand pump fits directly into my fill tube.

I've only changed my 4105's hydraulic oil once (at the 400hr. mark).

I did it 'old school', I guess. From the container into a graduated measured (5 litre) container, and then using a wide-mouth funnel, into the reservoir.

Yes, it took time and patience, but the job was done with no mess and accurately.

Me too. A "bucket pump". Works great though it can be slow to pump the entire 9 gallons for a fluid change. I'd rather be slow than make a mess or overfill the tractor.

Tip: don't leave it in a half filled bucket of oil, especially in a building that gets damp like my barn. It does not seal the bucket. I ended up with water in the oil. Now I park it in an empty bucket and seal the half full bucket up with the plastic lid.

I siphon it from the 5 gallon. Slow but never spill.

Best,

I use a 1 gallon oil can with a valve, similar to this one. A little time consuming, but easy and clean.

Like many above I use a simple & cheap (HF - $6.99) hand pump... slow but no mess, & if you accidently overfill the tractor you can pump some fluid out...
