Trying to get new hammers for this crap flail mower.
After its first run in a nice clear field I have three broken hammers.
Field has NO rocks since I mowed it last with my JD flail and hit nothing.
Only thing I hit was some 2-3 inch sticks laying on the ground.

Anyway, tried contacting Betstco and no response for days now. They don't list hammers on their site that I can find.
Phone, email and chat go unanswered. There site also says 2-3 week lag in shipping but hopefully that is not for parts.

Any other sources for good hammers?

Photos? Dimensions? Shape of the hammer?

Have you tried your local Ag stores?

Some details over here;

All the best,

Peter

Have you tried a browser search?

The string "Flail Hammers" Brings many returns.

Yes, but knowing what will be an exact replacement, weight being the most important, so far is a bit of a guessing game.
I ordered some from Titan which seem to be very close in size but I'll still have to weigh them to be sure.
If you look at Betstco's site as if ordering this flail you can order a "6 pack" of blades but they are quite expensive.
I'm thinking Betstco may not be a good choice anyway for blades.

I just figured someone else may have found a good replacement or maybe even a better blade!
I'll report how these Titan blade shape up once they get here.

That's the thing. I'm trying to narrow it down. Figured maybe someone on here had found a good replacement.
I ordered a Titan blade so we'll see how it goes.

I hit some rocks and chipped 2 blades. Flail is still resting from winter.
Let us know how you do with the titan blades.
I do think someone else with the same flail used them and was happy, or at least didn't say anything bad about them.

Update:
So I have this blade now from Titam Attachments.

Titan Blade eBay

Here is a side by side of the original and the Titan. I think they are really close. The Titan is approximately 2.1 ounces heavier than my sample blade. Don't know if 2 ounces will throw it out of balance much! I have one broken hammer currently.
I like the look of the blade.
Costs - Betstco $14 each plus whatever they charge for shipping.
Titan $54.99 for 5 ($11 each) and free ship.

Opinions welcome! Will try later today or tomorrow.

Those Titan blades ok really nice!

I would replace the blade opposite the broken one. Worst case you have a spare for one of your originals. Bearings are never better off with vibration on them. Why run the risk?

All the best,

Peter

I've run into the same problem with a Titan AGL165 for both broken hammers and a hydraulic cylinder that blows the end off. The threads don't hold. I contacted them and after 3 days got a response that they only have parts for warranty claims. This is just two years old with minimal use. Anybody know where you can get hammers?

Can't you use the Titan hammers?
