Took this one today. I had to get out for a walk in the back country. Bad weekend. Had to get the mind off things. I suck at photography, but I thought the sunbeams were kinda nice. The old railroad bridge is still hanging in there. Hasn’t seen a train since the mid 80’s.

You don't suck at photography. That first pick is pretty cool. The sunlight on the right, the sunbeams. Were you trying to make an artistic statement, or show us what you saw? Looks cool!

If you had the time to go out and play with it I think you'd do fine. I take dozens of pictures a day. Sometimes hundreds. All with my cell phone because I haven't owned a decent camera for 15 years. I pour through them and once in an while I get a good one.

Both my kids college teams got smoked-they take it pretty tough, Hard to get them through these tough spots,,,, and its back to cold & windy. Dying MIL in my house. Gotta get away to the rivers & fields for some solace.
Just drags ya down.

Kids will get over that quickly. It’s what they do. My youngest’s basketball started in march madness but lost in first round. Cold and wind is temporary. Last one would get to me too, though. My mother lives with us. I cringe at the day she starts declining.

Sorry to hear about your MIL. Hopefully she goes peacefully.

As for kids and sports... life lessons on how to be gracious winners AND losers.

Kids will get over that quickly. It’s what they do. My youngest’s basketball started in march madness but lost in first round. Cold and wind is temporary. Last one would get to me too, though. My mother lives with us. I cringe at the day she starts declining.

Yeah not so sure bout that…..daughter got barked-up pretty good by her coach. D-1 sports are so competitive… its pretty actually pretty sick. Thankfully, those were spring hockey games-they dont count. Coach owns your ass. My sons team lost a heartbreaker Friday night…The losses are tough for them.
Yeah the cold & wind is temporary, but when you love the outdoors, you want it gone after 5-6 months of it. The MIL has been a miserable PITA for years. Healthy as a teenager-mind of a 2 yr old.
Anyways…back to cool nature photos. Love em

One other quick thing about the RR bridge-we used to dive off it in the 80’s into the nice deep pocket of water below.

Wife and I went for a walk today. 49F and overcast. Just right temps. Mild breeze. This is a really long spillway off of the Elkhart River. It used to feed several mills and hydro plants. Nice bridges and trails. Ends at an old electric turbine site. There's more park to explore next time.
