Good Morning
It’s 45 and might make it to 50 in thunderstorms. Not going to be a good day for outside work.

Yesterday was productive in the shop before the trip to Hagerstown and Burlington, which went without a hitch. I got home from that late enough that I was out of ambition and didn’t return to the shop.
I’ll head over this morning after my bowl of Special K and make some more progress. Hopefully this afternoons storms won’t soak me while getting the trash and recycling to the end of the lane. I’ve also got to stop at the restaurant and deal with a cooler case that isn’t cooling.

I have a lot of Makita 18v tools and like them, but I also have some Milwaukee 12v tools, and am quite happy with them as well, as Milwaukee has a broader range of tools targeted to the trades.

Morning all, rain still coming down, but starting tomorrow we get sun.
We will see if any of my grass seed held on.
Tomatoes are off to a slow start inside.

toppop - hope this is the last of the cells- think you could use a break.
Buppies - stitches out , sounds good, hope you don't need any more for a loooong time

Alien - hard news to deal with- prayers for the wife that these issues allow her to enjoy life, even if the pace is slower.

I have older Makita -super reliable, and new M12 and M18 Milwaukee. The batteries for both brands seem to last forever. Had some other brands, their batteries faded over a few years and they have been trashed or given away.

I tried Kobalt for a few devices and some tools- they all failed quite readily and I won't but any more of those.

Stay safe and be well,
Back to day job..........

Good Morning!!!! 69F @ 5:15AM. Mostly sunny. Near record high temperatures. High near 90F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
The 10-day is now calling for 0.14" of rain on Monday, which could make things "interesting" when I try to get the bike down the newly improved driveway. Might just have to walk the last few hundred feet anyway, depending on if the boys are still cutting down the hill. But the rain will be good for helping compact the dirt that's being used to fill in low spots on the new roads. More rain the following Friday, maybe just a bit more, but it's so far out it's hard to say with any certainty.

I can't blame you for wanting to get out of the drought, Ted. Especially with dust storms like that.

Best of luck on the upcoming surgeries. Some day I'll join the cataract surgery club, it's just a matter of when.

Finished up the holes in the backhoe neighbors steel plates, and also got my taxes filed. Owed some to the state, the Feds are giving back more than enough to cover it.

The boys made some progress on the driveway, but there's at least three days of work remaining. And it could easily take longer, depending on how many rocks they hit. Yesterday's was ottoman sized, and didn't take long to remove. But if they hit a bench or bedrock, that'll be the end of the job. I looked into the explosive system developed by Sierra Blaster, which is being use on the Gold Rush Whitewater reality TV show. Seems like a couple grand'll get you a setup that would demolish quite a few boulders or a lot of bedrock, but I hope it doesn't come to that.

Gonna be a hot ride today, even on the coast. Highs in the mid 90s, but back down into the low 60s for Monday. Could be lots of green grass and wildflowers, but summer may be farther along to the south than we are here, so things could be turning brown already. So much for spring this year.

Roy, get well, and stop getting sick as an excuse to drink beer! 😁
That's what I was thinking.

Alien hope the cardiologist has an easy fix. Tell her not to look at as she failed a test but that the problem was found.
Randy and Buppies continue to heal and good luck with the new procedures.

My application is in for their Fall busy season and I was looking at their tractors on YouTube.
I Might have to do some reconnaissance so I can quickly locate all controls. Any idea if the New Holland shown is standard shift or shuttle shift?

49˚F, North wind, clear skies, heading to the 70s

steady rain coming down and lots of it, with thunderstorms later. Soon the back yard trench will fill with water and the ducks
might return. I wonder if I should put a bowl of duck food out there, whatever that is.

One duck had pretty colors, one was dull. Funny how Mother Nature does that. Like cardinals. Lions. Distinctive male/female differences.
But just color, many other birds like that. Interesting adaptation. Just remember the female lions are the hunters. Yes dear.

39°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 52° today. Windy this afternoon, then rain mixed with and changing to snow overnight. The ground is too warm for anything to stick, though.

Brought the trash can back up to the house, then used a hole saw to cut the opening in the back of the speaker cabinet for the jack plate. Wife baked some delicious fish for dinner, and I helped her clean up. That was pretty much the extent of my productivity at home last night.

Glad they found the issue with your wife, Doug.

Drew, when we had ducks, they ate the same feed as the chickens ... just a whole lot more. Ducks are eating machines.

All of our cordless power tools are DeWalt, with the exception of the Lynxx 40v chainsaw and polesaw.

Good morning to all! Low of 30° (brrrrrr), going up somewhere in the mid 60's. At least no wind! WOOHOO! Supposed to be nice until Sunday, when the wind returns for a couple days.

Our "wind events" are determined by which side of the continental divide storms ride down the Rockies. This last one came down the east side, just giving us wind.

Doug, at least they have found a problem, now it can get treated. I hope it's an easy solution for your wife. Prayers sent for a speedy diagnosis/ recovery.

I'm still wearing the heart monitor for another 2 weeks.... it's strange to say "I hope they find something".... so it can get treated, VS. "I hope they don't find anything ", when in reality, that could be worse... then more studies to find what is causing the problem..... mmmmm

For you guys with upcoming surgeries ... extra prayers ant thoughts sent your way!

Drew, hope those new blueberry bushes like the rain! Hope the ducks return.

Today's agenda will definitely involve getting the rest of the fence materials stained. Maybe get to dig a couple more post holes if time and energy permit.

Everyone have a great day!
