Ford 4610
Okay so I’m new to this and trying to figure out row spacing. What spacing do I need. My tractor is a Ford4610 and I have a 2 row atv planter that was given to me. How would I go about setting up a cultivator so as not to tear up my rows?

30 or 36" rows would be a good place to start, but I don't know anything about a 2 row atv planter or how wide it can be spaced out, you will have to measure it to see what you have to work with.

Your row spacing would directly relate to what type cultivator you will be using. AND the wheel spacing on your tractor. AND the spacing on your planter. Does NO GOOD to get only the planter set up and have the tractor or cultivator driving right down, on top of, the planted rows.

Obviously, the tractor and cultivator must be set up to drive between the planted rows.

You need to do some "spacing checking/measurements" and set the tractor and two implements up accordingly.

It's probably easiest to assume the wheel spacing on the tractor is a set dimension. Then have the planter set so - one row between the rear/front tires - one row outside the rear/front tires. Something like that or - both planter rows between the rear/front tires.

THEN - check to see that the cultivator will go down between the rows while the tractor is doing the same.

I never had any implements that could be used on my Ford 1700. I had a manual planter and a Troy Bilt rototiller. Planted double rows with spacing to drive the rototiller between each set of double rows.

Worked well as long as I kept my mind on my business while using the rototiller.

what are you planting ? what do you want to do with your cultivator ? pass it between rows to remove bad weeds in between your rows ?

you should have adjustment on your ATV planter and same for your cultivator so you adjust one to complement the other do a dry pass if you have too and make adjustments… but knowing exactly what is your goal would help …

Nobody will be able to give you the exact dimensions/spacing. Only you know - the wheel spacing on your tractor( is it adjustable) - the spacing on your planter( is it adjustable) and the same for your cultivator.

It's pretty standard to row crop on 30-36" row spacing, you will have no trouble doing that with a Ford 4610, the atv planter spacing I don't know about.

So I’m planting corn. My planter is adjustable 14-36’’. My tractor has 50’’ in the rear, inside dimension, on the rear wheels and 55’’ , inside dimension on the front. I just need it to rip unwanted weeds

Mike - you will simply have to do your own measurements and adjust accordingly.
