My home protection gun is a mossburg shockwave
Really bad advice. Take some good training....I did.Speak the universal language, Jack the action of a pump. I've séen bird load kill a grown deer. Revolver in addition. I've seen autos hang up a lot. I'm speaking from qualifying twice a year with law enforcement. I had the only wheel gun. Half the other people had jams. I got rid of all mine.
I think it’s correct to assume that if someone comes into your home illegally, especially at nighttime, that they intend you harm if you are there. You risk your life unnecessarily by hoping they will flee at the sound of a racking shotgun.Racking tells the intruder where your are and that is not a good thing to do. It might make a sober thief run away, but maybe not someone high on drugs or someone who wants to kill you. Plus you have one less shot when starting with an empty chamber.
That is good advice.A friend of mine who is a LEO has given us this advice. ..If a intruder is in our house, We should move to the bedroom and close the door if possible. Make it loud and clear that we are armed and have called the police. At that point if the intruder turns the door know, ..Unload everything you have into them and make certain they are no longer breathing before the detectives show up. The mentality behind this is that if they know you are armed, and the cops are in route..And still want to approach you, Nothing good is going to happen. Your life is in fact in danger. We have several handguns, My favorite is my Sig 380 Followed by the 44 Magnum which are both within reach at night time.
All that is you opinion.Really bad advice. Take some good training....I did.
Your shotgun should be loaded and all you need is to flick the safety off. Racking tells the intruder where your are and that is not a good thing to do. It might make a sober thief run away, but maybe not someone high on drugs or someone who wants to kill you. Plus you have one less shot when starting with an empty chamber.
Most LEO’s have minimal defensive training and are best ignored on this subject. Your example proves it. Their lives depend on their weapons and yet the ones you shot with had a lot of jams. They are either stupid or lazy...maybe both.
If theyre in your house and you are home, its about a 90% chance they arent there to steal, they are there for YOU.All that is you opinion.
I WANT the intruder to hear that slide cycle! I think it is really good advice. It gives the intruder a chance to run before a shootout starts.
