Really bad advice. Take some good training....I did.

Your shotgun should be loaded and all you need is to flick the safety off. Racking tells the intruder where your are and that is not a good thing to do. It might make a sober thief run away, but maybe not someone high on drugs or someone who wants to kill you. Plus you have one less shot when starting with an empty chamber.

Most LEO’s have minimal defensive training and are best ignored on this subject. Your example proves it. Their lives depend on their weapons and yet the ones you shot with had a lot of jams. They are either stupid or lazy...maybe both.
Ah yes, the mythical “crazed and unstoppable” intruder, that’s “jacked up on PCP” and can’t be stopped unless he’s hit center mass with 6 rounds. Too many people think they’re going to be the hero in a Steven Segal movie. Most crimes in progress that are stopped by a firearm are stopped without firing a shot.

If theyre in your house and you are home, its about a 90% chance they arent there to steal, they are there for YOU.
Thieves are mostly active when you are not home as most dont want to get hurt or killed for a bottle of Vicodin or your wifes jewelry.
The classic cycling of the gun is mostly a Hollywood construct.
Again, your opinion.

Nobody is out to get me. And even if so, I’d want them to hear that slide. The goal is not to shoot someone. It is to get them to leave.

Smart man. All these “experts” aren’t going to do the prison time with you if you kill somebody.

They also might not be dead and in the ground with experts like you.

I agree, I have been a competative shooter for over 30 yrs and have shot with many law officers, No disrespect meant but most were not very good shooters,

You are FAR more likely to be killed in a tractor accident, like by a factor of 1000. So I’m sure you wear your seatbelt every second that you’re in the seat, keep the ROPS up at all times, and train every weekend for how you will react in the event of a rollover. 😆

Not sure what you're gettin at there. Well over 100 people a day are killed with a firearm in the U.S, while there are a bit over 120 tractor related deaths per year in the U.S.

If they’re in my house and it’s the choice between me or my families life of theirs, and I know they mean me harm, the first sound will be “bang”, not “shuck”
We need to re-educate this country’s uneducated that if you are in another man’s house uninvited, you may give your life.

YOUR chances, not, any random person's chances. I am assuming A: that you have a tractor and B: that you are not a gang member in Chicago, Detroit, or LA
