The tracks can pull in to make the unit 36” wide and can offset vertically for traversing across slopes, and they are white rubber. It weighs 8600, powered by a Kubota Diesel. Also has wireless remote when needed. They keep that thing busy everyday. They charge $300 per hour with two guys and two chain saws. A lot gets done in a couple hours.
Less than 36" wide! It fits through a 36" gate! Very cool. (y) (y)

I am planning on doing a final video on YouTube, running and operating. It’s warmed up this week so I plan on painting the hood, side panels and miscellaneous pieces.
I might do a preliminary engine running and operating the loader up and down at least, YouTube . Can’t do the clam yet as I have to make some cylinder pins.

Thank you for putting this entire series together, & looking forward to that final video.

Here is a small update. I have been working on the firewood and burning the tree trimmings.
I finished the hood including the radiator access and primed and painted all the parts I made so far. Not a hand rubbed finish exactly but nice enough for the tractor. I made the hinge mounting holes square for adjustment and got some 12mm prevailing torque flanged nuts to use on there.

Is there a website to buy old Massy construction parts from? What other construction equipment did they make?

I haven’t actually found a dedicated site. Various parts show up at some sites like Steiners, Complete Tractor, Jenn Sales, Broken Tractor and many more.
They made loader backhoes, loader scraper box units that were very popular. Several sizes of the crawler loaders and dozers which were built by Landini of Italy which they owned and the parent company of MF today still owns.

Was yours built by Landini?

Yes, it has a metal plate on the back that says made in Italy. So it is like many cars and trucks from the seventies. Hybrid metric, SAE. Engine is British so that is SAE, everything else is Metric including hydraulics until the end of the 2 steel tubes going to the 4in1 bucket then it is JIC as the Drott bucket is made in Wisconsin owned by Case. Once you are use to it it’s ok.
I have seen a lot of videos on YouTube of the dozers working, seem like India, maybe Mexico or South America. I haven’t seen another matching loader ripper combo like mine. That was what really appealed to me as that was the way I ordered my tractors.

Here is my latest update, I put on the side covers after I fixed a fuel leak on the injection pump. I also did a second valve adjustment now that things are seated in a bit. I made a couple more missing covers and I included a couple pictures to show how I cheat on making bends in 10 gauge when the brake is not nearby. I finished the locking radiator cover too. Next is the floor plate, the last missing piece.

What's the tank behind the seat with the sight glass? I really like being able to see how much fluid is in a tank by looking at a tube.

The side with the sight tube is Diesel, it’s a split tank with hydraulic on the other side. Sight tube on that one faces forward next to the seat.
