I've seen backward kits from late 50 or early 60 model tractors. Usually fork lift set ups.

A friend has a Kubota, cabbed and heated and rigged like that.
It sports a snow blower and can take a mower as well.
He finds it extremely maneuverable snow blowing in and around tight places.
It was a gov't surplus purchase.

Yes, a payloader! Not sure what you mean by "back then", however.

Just makes sense to let the big tires carry the load instead of the small tires

Yeah, but it would be terr8ble with a 3 pt on the steering end. Tear your plows up.
