Mahindra warranty isn’t worth the glue they use to stick the 7 year sticker on the side of the tractor with. This is a 2019 2655 hst cab with 300 hours. Front wheel, axle and all fell out while moving sand. It’s been in the shop for 2 weeks and the Mahindra rep, who I can’t talk to, has not authorized repair yet.

That stinks. Hopefully your repair will be authorized.

You might check your home insurance to see if they might cover the damage if MF doesn't.

I believe he posted he had a Mahindra with a thrown shoe . . .

Sorry, you are having issues.
I have a Mahindra with 200 hours on it and it works great so I was interested when I saw the title.

Unfortunately, this is a rant to slam Mahindra from a newbie so I tend to ignore these drive-bys. Best of luck and hope it works out.
Not so much a newbie for this sight though (and I agree it's a rant). . . RC fix your "Mehindra" . . . (y)

Bingo.

They haven't denied warranty yet so this unwarranted bash on Mahindra is a little premature.

Makes me question the abuse? It may have failed when moving sand.....but what about all the other stuff over the last few years?

Conveniently the picture crops out the back....so I assume you have no ballast either.

I'm going to guess it could have been a poor Dealer PDI. Even if the owner was not new to the tractor world. I mean who would think to check every nut and bolt on a fairly new or hardly used tractor? Yes it says in most manuals under the maintenance section at so many hours to check this and that, but really all that excitement? New WooHoo lets drive!!! nobody is perfect but i will say that a excellent dealer goes the extra mile! as for the warranty aspect, who has really gotten quick service for warranty items? My 2638HST (2019) steering cylinder was bypassing and was a known issue. Tractor was in at the dealer for a month. I wasn't in need of it so i didn't care. Just my 2 cents....

To me it Seems like a pretty legitimate complaint
You may be right!
or
Maybe he is in the 9 out of 10 (according to my service tech) who owns a hobby tractor that never does any maintenance.
or
He overloads the bucket
or
He is an angry person that is difficult
or
All of the above
or
None of the above

We simply don't have any other details.

I do know that he was upset enough to come find this site to slam the brand after owning it for a while.
I know that 2 weeks is a long time until you hear that many wait for months.

I am not knocking the guy. Its a drive by that isn't worth any more of my time. Its like scoring in the Olymics. Kick out the top and bottom score to eliminate the bias.

So "thrown shoe" = "Front wheel, axle and all fell out while moving sand"?

That's a lot of damage.

Well supposedly it’s been in the shop for 2 WEEKS and the Mahindra rep still has not authorized or denied the claim ! That seems like very lousy service that would definitely cause me to never even consider buying a Mahindra.

Their are lots of posts on here from every brand that have been waiting for months for parts and service for every type of machine, Blame the covid crap.

Says the guy that misspells Mahindra. :)

I don't know if I'd start a thread about it. But I'd want an answer in regards to warranty service at this point. My question would be toward the dealership more than the manufacturer at this point. The Service Manager would have to hide in the bathroom to not answer my questions. :)

I see nothing in the pictures that indicates abuse of any kind. The tractor appears very straight. The wheels/tires appear to be in excellent condition. All indicators to me of the kind of life the tractor has had.

Rear Ballast or the lack of it has nothing to do with this. No FEL tractor I've been around requires rear ballast to carry a bucket full of sand.

I think it's a simple mechanical failure that should be covered by warranty. And probably will be. I'm guessing the delay is the dealership.

I was just letting you know that MF is not the brand that you posted that he is having a problem with . . . he has a Mahindra.

But in this case the problem seems to be with the Mahindra rep making a decision to fix it under warranty or not, seems like everything is on hold until the rep makes what should be a pretty simple decision
Yes they might have trouble getting the proper parts to fix it but that’s no reason for the rep to be wasting 2 weeks to make a relatively simple decision about weather it should be covered under warranty or not.

I agree. And I throw the dealer under the bus for that delay.
