Massey MF2326 Gear Box oil interval change?

Howdy folks, long time no post. I pray all is well with folks. I am getting my used GC1720 with the MF2326 mower deck ready for the season. I was checking the deck manual to see if there was a service interval for the gear box oil change, and there is not. Only that it takes SAE EF80. It currently has 222 hrs on it and had the 50 hr complete service done by the dealer right before I bought it. Well I found out it is 200hrs. I cannot figure out how to delete the post so here it is if anyone else is curious. Can I use Synthetic 75W90? I have a bunch of that.

I run whatever Amsoil synthetic gear lube in mine I have on hand. I change it yearly (about 50 hours a year mowing)

I checked mine once, right after buying it lightly used -- it was really hard to remove the top plug -- it was OK, no signs of leakage or seepage, haven't touched it since 2009.

Use tractor for mowing, snow blowing, log moving/holding... now have over 1K hrs on tractor (maybe half that using MMM?), and mower is still OK.

There are many points of view on this but I have 3 MMM now (all Kubota) and have worked on 2 or 3 more. In my opinion there is rarely, if ever, a need to change the gear oil in a MMM gear box. I never have and never will. You should look at it once in a long while to see if there is obvious contamination or metal particles but both are extremely unlikely.

Thanks for the replies. yeah, I use mine for just about everything so not sure how many hours are really on the deck. I had an older Kubota B7800 that I ended up burning up a deck transmission $$, not sure how that happened but ever since then I have been paranoid on maintenance. I have some Redline 75W90 I might just put in there.

If it ain't milky and it's full to the level plug, don't screw with it. You don't change the gear oil in your car differential do you?

I put about 25hrs a year on my deck. I checked the level the first year (2020) the first time I had it off just to make sure the dealer filled it properly. Didn't check it this year. I will make sure that it not obviously seeping oil but I'm probably not going to check it otherwise. I seriously doubt I will ever change it unless there is some problem. If @irvingj has been running one since 2009 without touching it I figure it will deck will outlast me as long as I keep it properly greased.

I change the gearbox oil every 150 hours on my mowers. I also use 75w140 and run these machines 8 hours a day.
I will say that the biggest gearbox killer is leaking seals and not being caught in time by the operator... sometimes it's practically impossible to catch a fast catostrophic seal failure, but they are relatively rare.

got about 60 hours on my 2326, I check the level but not changed it. it aint broke I don't mess with it.
pita to drain anyway.
do make sure to keep up with your greasing. little over grease will hurt a lot less than under grease in sandy and dusty crap. those pulleys and adjusters are not cheap.
