post nasal drip turned into a flood,
sitting at lunch in a small cafe in Lambertville and my nose keeps running and running. ?? Must be something in the air and I take allergy pill every morning.
57, damp and grey. Afternoon free, then school board meeting at 5pm, thankfully by zoom. Of course I did get 34 pages of material to read. They have a consent agenda, do your homework ahead of time, pose your questions ahead of time, makes what used to be 3-4 hour school board meeting now under two hours. So I have some reading to do this afternoon, school is in fine shape, just approved second year of small bonuses to teachers. Thanking them for putting up with huge admin hassle of covid. And several kids a week are still getting sick. It's out there, just not killing many people, which of course is huge.
Close friend who found himself riddled with lymphatic cancer two weeks ago started chemo yesterday. Family was going crazy having to wait another ten days for appt when full detailed DNA typed biopsy comes back. I made a call to an old friend, retired doctor, whose son is my oncologist. Son called other doc, same practice, different town, and that afternoon oncologist said they were starting that day with RCHOP, no waiting. Have no idea if the dots can be connected but I felt good about that. His wife and my goddaughter were very happy.
called my primary doc to say ok to his suggestion of taking prozac to relax the tension in that muscle connected to my bad ear. may or may not work, never taken anything like that before.
Message left they also think hearing loss/tinnitus might be permanent damage caused by platinum used in chemo. ?? A drug called Sisplat or close. Heavy metals for sure...
Both my ankles and feet still have neuropathy lasting from chemo, nasty stuff just doesn't get out of your body, if ever. Since I'm still kicking...sure beats the alternatives.
