Got any links to that?
It's been in the news, so I'm not sure where the story is. I did a quick search and this CNN article seems to cover it. I didn't read all of it, so maybe it's it, or maybe it's just another example of the administration forcing the price of oil up.

Thanks.

Eddie, it's poor writing. No other way to explain it. They didn't cancel any leases. They cancelled the sale of 3 leases. Two in the gulf of Mexico, and one in Alaska. The two in the gulf were stopped by a judge because environment groups sued the administration. The administration did not stop it. The environmentalists' lawsuit stopped it.

The Alaska sale was cancelled, DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST. No takers. No oil companies were interested.

So none of the three cancelled lease sales were because the administration did anything to stop them. It was due to lawsuits by environmentalists and no interested oil companies.

There's a lot of misinformation going around out there. Hope that clears some of it up.

My question on EV's, living as I do in the northeast, what kind of "mileage" can you expect during winter storms when you need wipers, cabin heat, headlights, defroster etc. I can't imagine it would be much
I've been asking that question here and elsewhere for years, only to be labeled as a "hater." Yet it appears they do well, provided you keep the battery charged; just as you need to keep your fuel tank filled in winter with a gasoline powered vehicle.

Actually, from what I've read EVs have a lot of torque and should be good for pulling a trailer. Pruis not so much.
As far as getting stuck behind a pokey vehicle on a hill, the champ there has to have been those 80s-vintage tacomas with the 4-banger in them. Empty, 3rd gear with the pedal to the floor still couldn't get out of their own way going uphill.
You've got that right! I used to run back and forth between Maine and New York in my '91 Toyota pickup. (or Vermont, or your state)
There were times when I would downshift just to maintain 65 MPH. There's one intersection on a hill in Vermont where I would need 4lo to take off, if I had my ATV in back. Yet my Colorado gets the same mileage as that old Toy truck, and rides 1000 times better.

I don't think there is much basis for this. I haven't seen any significant concerns over the 10 speed and they've been out there for years now. I've had mine for over 5 years and it's better than a manual in every respect except fun.
IIRC Ford’s 10 speed was a joint development with GM. Perfectly good transmission. I like mine.

Where Ford has failed the past 10-15 years has been trying to implement a neural network smart predictive shift controller. Techs at good Ford dealers know how to override. A friend had no end of back and forth with the dealer over the 6 speed in his then-new 2011 Raptor. It would upshift so early the V8 would lug.

100% to 80% of the range one gets at 90°F.

An EV does much better than an ICE in bumper to bumper traffic.

The beginning of this thread lamented the potential of wrecking the Scout name. I don't think anyone could do worse than Chevrolet with the Blazer. That is a crying shame.
What about that sorry-@ssed Nova GM came out with in the 80s that was nothing but a re-badged toyota? Suzuki?
What was worse was that the marketing for the "new" Nova dissed the old one, which was a pretty solid car!

Especially with a 365hp, 327, four speed manual and 4:56 gears; awesome vehicle

Dad's convertible had 3.90 rear gears. 390 horse 427, single 4 barrel with off road pipes and Lakes covers as well.

Only 327 I ever liked was a early 60's split window coupe with Rochester Fuel injected 327.
