I DIY adapted a used SSQA to my loader arms, then I DIY adapted my bucket, forks, and a couple other attachments.

That pic is my homemade forks adapter, I started with a used set of forklift takeoffs.

My loaders supposed capacity is 2500 pounds,, I have not had any failures,, YET!!

I did the change almost 20 years ago.

EA is well know for very high quality attachments, and we sell a lot of hooks for them (they are pre-drilled for ours), so there are a lot of them out there. I can't imagine you'd be disappointed with that choice.

Thanks for all the help.

I may go ahead and order the EA bucket, provided they can get it to me soon. I would have ordered the SSQA from them, but they said it would take months, and another vendor claims to be able to deliver in around 10 days.

It must be nice to have 2500 pounds of lift on a tractor that small. Kubota says my lift capacity is 1500 and the breakout force is about 2560.

Great work on the conversion. How thick are the walls on that tubing? I was thinking I would just get a 1/2" adaptor plate and bolt my old forks to it.

The square tube is 2" with 1/4" wall.
The forks are hanging on a 1.50" solid round steel bar.
The forks have a piece of the 2" square tube welded to the top of the fork.

That fit is a little tight,, tough to slide, sometimes.
I think I did some grinding inside the square tube for the forks, before welding,,
That was a LONG time ago.

Thanks for the info. I'm not worried about forklift forks, since I'll be using something else. I just want a frame that will support 4 heavy-duty brush forks, so if 1/4" worked for you, it will work for me.

My 584 is almost double the HP of your Kubota, and the base weight is WAY over double of the Kubota,,
so, as compared to your Kubota,, I have very little lift capacity!! :(

But, that was how they designed tractors ~45 years ago,,,

Photos are deceptive, I guess.

I have found out I can't get a new bucket for 4 months, so I need to adapt the old one. I am getting the ATI Tach-All from Amazon because no one else could get me at an acceptable price within the time I'm willing to wait. Amazon also has a lot of plates, and I can get a 3/8" Titan for $149.

I am wondering if the Titan will be a good choice. Tractor Mike sells a plate for Kubota buckets, and it's different. It has two rectangular panels at the ends with a big rectangular cutout in the middle. Kubota buckets have angle-iron horizontal supports along the back, so you have to cut the ends of them, and the cutouts on the Tractor Mike plate allow you to leave a lot of angle iron. The Titan plate has larger panels on the ends, so in order to save more of the angle iron, I would have to cut some steel out.

A plate that fits the ATI-Tach All is what you need if you decide to buy a plate instead of welding up your own. There are standard dimensions for non-proprietary QA mounts.

Although the plate has standard dimensions, the backs of Kubota buckets apparently vary. Suggest you post a picture of the back of yours and perhaps we can discuss how you might adapt yours. It might be possible to just weld up the necessary metal on the back of your bucket.
